The Reality

Often misdiagnosed as 'Bursitis', this is usually a Gluteal Tendinopathy. It is not an issue of rubbing; it is an issue of the tendon losing its compressive tolerance. Stretching often makes this condition worse.

The Structural Root

We stop the stretching and start the strengthening. We use targeted Physio-led Movement to rebuild the tendon's ability to tolerate compression (like lying on your side).

The Biological Root

In women, tendon health is intrinsically linked to Estrogen. Perimenopause can be a major driver here. We check your metabolic markers to address the hormonal environment affecting the tendon.
